MONDAY

Hello, loveliest Grace.

I know.  I know you're tired and not wanting to move in the school direction right now, but girl.  YOU GOT THIS.  It's gonna be a good day.  Hey.  I love you.  Like, so much.

So.  spend some time with the great and awesome God that made you.  Thank Him for being so good to us even when we don't deserve it.  Pray for you family and friends.  Pray for you relationship with your brothers and sisters.  Pray He'll help you be the gal He made you to be.  He loves you so much.

OK.

You get to pick.  Do you want to study Colossians or Judges?  Colossians is what we're studying on Sundays, but Wednesdays you are studying Judges with W3.  You pick.  I'll help you find a path with that.

Math, math math!  Woo hoo!  You know what to do!

Literature:

  • Read Chapters 13-19 of Black Ships Before Troy
  • Begin Black Ships Before Troy Character Reference Chart (Due September 17th)
  • Complete the following on the same page: It may be typed.
    • Define the following vocabulary words:
      • Phoenician, Palladium, hewed, citadel, colonnades, ramparts
    • Answer the following questions: Answer questions using complete sentences. It may be typed.
      • Chapter 13: “Ransom for Hector”
        • Consider Achilles’s rage against Hector. Is it justified or excessive? Explain your answer.
      • Chapter 16: “The Death of Achilles”
        • Consider Ajax’s decision. Do you agree with his choice? Explain your answer.
      • Chapter 17: “Poisoned Arrow”
        • Is it fitting that Paris should die as he did? Explain your answer.

History:

  • Read MOH pages 94-100 (Nefertiti, King Tut, & Ramses II)
  • Complete research poster
    • Ancient History Egypt Research Assignment:   
      In order to complete the assignment the students will need a half sheet of poster board. They may choose to use colored paper, paint or markers to make the poster colorful. They may handwrite or type at least 10 facts about their topic and attach them to the poster. Please see the example below for guidance.  I am very excited about this assignment and look forward to hearing what the students have learned.
  • There are NO maps or note booking pages due this week
Science:
