I love you so much, sweet girl.

Science

Homework Due 4-21:
Copywork for Lesson 13 - pg.186 or 187
NJ - pg. A61-A63 - Put matchbook together and glue onto page 190 (each student was given a sheet with information on it to add to the matchbooks - I've also attached a copy that you can print out if needed)
Keep working on your presentations due 4/28
Bring in a painted blue box so that we can begin our ocean boxes next week

I made a few changes to the syllabus that I handed out at the beginning of the year.  Originally I had intended on spending 2 weeks in Lesson 13 .  However, after working on a few of the crafts for our ocean boxes I realized that we will need more time to complete them.  Due to this change, there will not be a test for Lesson 13!

Also, if possible I'd like for the students to bring in their blue painted ocean boxes next week.  A parent of one of my students has graciously saved several extra boxes in case anyone needs one.  So, if you are in need of a box, please let me know.

Lastly, keep having your students work on their presentations.  These will be counted as a test grade.  I had some students ask about how long the presentation needs to be for the 28th.  I'd really like for them to be at LEAST 3 minutes.  What I'm looking for the most is that they spent time in researching and putting their materials together.

Literature:

  • Read Chapters 13-16 of The Bronze Bow
  • Prepare to take a quiz on these chapters next week
  • Complete the following: Answers may be typed.
    1. Make a Venn Diagram: Compare Jesus the leader with Rosh. How were they alike? How did they differ? What were the goals of each leader?
    2. Research: Daniel mentions the month of Ab. What month of the year is this on our calendar? Four of the twelve Jewish months are mentioned in this book, (Nisan, Ab, Elul, and Tishri). Research the Jewish months and find out where the months mentioned in the book fall on the Jewish calendar.
    3. Prediction: What will Rosh do with the information Joel gets him?
