Science

HOMEWORK DUE MARCH 3rd"
Read pages 164-171 (On page 164, start with Octopuses section)
***On page 143 in the Notebooking Journal there is a section titled "Sperm Whale-Giant Squid".  We discussed the tales from long ago that sailors used to tell about giant squid - that they attacked whales and could bring down ships.  Although we now know this is not true, the students need to pretend that they are an early sailor and create their own story about these creatures.  The students need to do 1 of 3 things.  1.)  They can write their own story about a giant squid  2.)  Find a short story/fable and copy and paste the information into the notebook, include source information if you do this  3.)  draw a picture of a giant squid attacking a whale or a ship.  If time permits, these will be shared in class on Thursday
